VTV took forward its expertise gained in undertaking India’s first field fabricated Coke Drums (4 Nos.) at IOC’s Panipat Refinery with the award of an EPC contract for 2 Nos. Coke Drums at Bina.

VTV’s scope included the transient thermal analysis of the skirt-cone junction, the first time such a complex Finite Element Analysis has been conducted by an Indian Company. Other fabrication highlights included the temporary furnace established at site for PWHT and shop nozzle overlay welding using a range of processes covering SMAW, SAW, GMAW & FCAW.
